Background:<\/h4>\n

The program is largely implemented in remote un-electrified areas where energising bore-wells through grid power is not possible\/un-economical. The Solar pump installed on the farmer\u2019s field are standalone type and capacity of 3 HP and 5 HP. This program were implemented in the entire state in collaboration with Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation and Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment. From this financial year 2020-21, the standalone solar pumps will be implemented through a central govt. scheme \u201cKisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahaabhiyan (KUSUM)\u201d. In this year it is target to install 5000 no. Of Solar Pump of capacity 1 HP to 7.5 HP. <\/p>\n

Another program \u201cSourajalanidhi\u201d is being implemented in collaboration with Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment, Government of Odisha. 0.5 HP Solar Pump is being provided to the farmers belonging to all categories having minimum 0.5 acre cultivable land holding and a dug well can be covered under the program. <\/p>\n
